Preparing for Your Appointment

To ensure a smooth experience, please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete essential paperwork.

You’ll be asked to fill out the following forms:
  • HIPAA Acknowledgment
  • Health History: Including your top 3 concerns, previous surgeries, injuries, allergies, and family health history
  • Medications & Dosage Log
  • Patient Goals Questionnaire

You will also complete an in-office consent waiver and financial policy form at the time of your visit. Prefer to fill out your forms at home? Just let us know, and we’ll email them to you in advance for convenience!

At Murphy Healing Arts, we aim to make your first visit comfortable, informative, and the beginning of a journey toward optimized wellness. Whether you’re seeking relief from pain or looking to enhance your overall health, we’re here to support you with a personalized approach to treatment.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

We reserve special times for new patient appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with both morning and afternoon slots available depending on our current scheduling.

Your initial appointment will include:
  • A one-on-one consultation with Dr. Royal
  • A comprehensive exam
  • A chiropractic adjustment and/or cold laser, soft-tissue therapies, etc. as deemed appropriate.

This first visit typically lasts 45 minutes – 1 hour.

After Your First Visit

Dr. Royal may recommend a personalized care plan based on your unique health goals.
While following this plan is encouraged for optimal results, it is not obligatory.

Typical follow-up options:

  • 30-minute treatment visits
  • 15-minute adjustment-only visits, as your schedule or needs allow

Regardless of which path you choose, staying well-hydrated before and after your visit is important to support your body’s response to care!

Booking & Cancellation Policy

We honor your time, as well as the time we reserve exclusively for each patient.
To avoid a fee, please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance.
This allows us to offer your time slot to another patient in need of care.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a fee. That said, we understand that unexpected situations arise. If this happens, we’ll do our best to accommodate you — for example, by offering another available time on the same day whenever possible. 

If you’re unable to come in at any time that day, your missed appointment fee will be based on the service originally booked, as outlined in our Financial Policy (a copy of which is provided after your initial paperwork is complete). Once you have been a patient with us for 90+ days, we allow one last minute cancellation fee per year to be waived.

Please note: No-shows — missed appointments without communication — will incur a higher fee; still based on appointment type.
